Replace Your Brake Fluid to Have a Safer Vehicle

Have you ever wondered how your brakes work? There are several mechanical processes involved, but your brake fluid actually works with hydraulic pressure to deliver pressure to your rotors which stops your vehicle. If it becomes contaminated, you can have difficulties stopping your vehicle.

When you put your foot on the pedal, you're moving the brake fluid closer to the brake calipers which then press on the rotors. When debris or water gets in the brake lines, this non-compressible fluid doesn't perform as well. If you lose brake fluid through a cut in the brake lines, you won't be able to stop your vehicle. To ensure that your vehicle's brake fluid is working well, check your owner manual to know the specifics on your vehicle.

If you would like to have your brake fluid or any other part of your braking system checked, come to Bergey's Lincoln.
