Vehicle oil changes are one of the simplest parts of automotive maintenance, but surprisingly, many people get it wrong.
When you put motor oil in your car it looked clean and clear. After checking oil levels, you see that the oil is dark. That's fine. Oil moves through the engine as a lubricant, picking up dirt particles along the way. If it's darker, it does not need to be changed. That's just an indication that the oil is working properly. Some drivers get confused about using synthetic oil. They think if they've used it once they have to use it always. Not true. Going back and forth between synthetic and regular motor oil won't cause any problems for your car's engine.
